Boston man sentenced for fatal stabbing near Mass. and Cass in 2021

A 52-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday for stabbing a man to death in the Mass. and Cass area of Boston in January 2021, prosecutors announced.

David Robinson, of Boston, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Suffolk Superior Court, where Judge Mary Ames handed down his sentence Wednesday, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office said in a statement.

On Jan. 4, 2021, Robinson and another man, Robert Jamison, attacked 33-year-old Richard Ghiozzi with knives in the Boston Fire Department parking lot off Southampton Street, according to the statement. After Ghiozzi, of Medford, was fatally wounded by Robinson, Jamison stomped on his head, prosecutors said.
