SPRINGFIELD — The city of Springfield awarded White Lion Brewing a $250,000 grant in May 2023 from pandemic relief funds to build a container park and beer garden in Tower Park Square. The business said at the time it wanted to install several permanent structures, including one with a roof deck, in the park where food and drink can be served.
As of early October though, the park is empty.
