WEST SPRINGFIELD — There can be no doubt that the cornbread sundae created by Joseph Deedy, the owner of Southwick’s Moolicious, was one of the most talked about, and enjoyed, confections at this year’s Big E.
The idea of the sundae, a combination of sweet corn ice cream, cornbread, spicy honey, homemade whipped cream and corn puffs, started with a simple request from a “good customer” for an amaretto ice cream.
