A motorcyclist had to be flown to the hospital Wednesday after they were seriously injured in a crash with a dump truck.
At about 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the crash between the motorcyclist and dump truck was reported on Route 40 in Chelmsford. The crash had happened at on onramp to Route 3 south.
The driver of the motorcycle was flown to a regional trauma center with serious injuries. No further updates on the driver were available.
The crash remains under investigation by Chelmsford Police with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
