In 2023, the Eastern Exposition Exposition was hit by some of the rainiest 17 days anyone had seen in more than two decades. People stayed away, and profits sank, despite the fair raising ticket prices for the first time in 13 years, said Eugene Cassidy, president and CEO for the nonprofit corporation.
