Most areas of Massachusetts can expect some rain on Friday, but forecasters say most of the precipitation should be confined to the southeastern part of the state and Cape Cod and the Islands.
Boston and Worcester are both expected to see showers on Friday, but new precipitation is expected to be minimal for both cities, according to the National Weather Service. In Western Massachusetts, no rain is in the forecast for Springfield.
The forecast for West Springfield, where The Big E is taking place on the grounds of the Eastern States Exposition, calls for a high of 72 degrees on what forecasters expect to be a mostly cloudy day.
