A drug investigation outside of a Red Roof Inn in Mansfield on Thursday afternoon led a police officer to fire their gun as one person fled the scene, according to Mansfield Police Chief Ronald Sellon.
North Attleborough police were investigating suspected drug activity in the hotel’s parking lot at about 3:40 p.m. before one of their officers fired a gun, Sellon said during a brief press conference at about 5:50 p.m.
