An 18-year-old man was arrested in Dorchester Monday afternoon on a warrant charging him with murder in connection with a fatal shooting inside a home in the Boston neighborhood last month, police said.
Manuel Guerrero, of Dorchester, was taken into custody around 12:06 p.m. on Monday at 1758 Dorchester Ave., Boston Police said in a statement. Guerrero is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court in Dorchester on the murder charge as well as charges of home invasion, carrying a firearm without a license and assault to murder firearm – armed.
On Aug. 11 at around 6:36 p.m., Boston Police went to 5 Trent St. in Dorchester for a report of two people shot. Police found two men with gunshot wounds inside the home. Both were brought to the hospital, where one, Leudis Mejia Sanchez, 49, of Dorchester, was pronounced dead.
