Holyoke – Hibernians of Hampden/Hampshire Counties present the following upcoming events.
Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day: The public is invited to an evening of celebration and fun featuring Dee Reilly at the Glendale Ridge Vineyard, 155 Glendale Road in Southampton. Admission is free. The event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 5 to 7 p.m. Food and wine for purchase (cash only), held rain or shine. Sponsored by the Hibernian Community. Everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for Kate’s Kitchen.
Annual Par 3 Golf Tournament: Sponsored by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. The public is invited to attend and participate on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Holyoke Country Club, 2 Country Club Road. Golfer registration 9 a.m., tee off at 10 a.m. with lunch at noon. Cost for golf and lunch $60, $25 lunch only. Call Nora McMahon at 413-218-2092. A collection of needed items will be taken up for the residents of the Holyoke Veterans’ Home (go to aoh-holyoke.com for a list of needed items).
Annual food and clothing drive for Providence Ministries: The Hibernians and the Polish National Credit Union are sponsoring a food and clothing drive through Dec. 1. Drop off location is at the Polish National Credit Union, 270 Westfield Road, Holyoke. Please consider brining non-perishable food items and gently used clothing; sleeping bags and blankets needed. Make a donation and ask to sign up to enter a raffle for $100 and/or raffle basket.
