NORTON — The FM Championship at TPC Boston paused on a cliffhanger.
Right as the tournament was setting up for an exciting conclusion, Mother Nature arrived to put the event on hold at about 3:20 p.m.
Participants, spectators and tournament officials were moved to safe locations to wait out the concern.
The tournament is expected to resume after a delay of over two hours at 5:40 p.m. as the event races to outrun darkness.
South Koreans Haeran Ryu and Jin Young Ko were tied at -15 coming down to the end of the event.
Ryu has two holes left and had just bogeyed No. 16 before the pause. Ko had two early eagles to begin her pursuit. She birdied No. 14 before the break.
Ruixin Liu, who had eight birdies on Sunday and Allisen Corpuz, who had seven weren’t far behind at -14.
