Boston man killed in weekend shooting has been ID’d; shooting under investigation

The name of a Roxbury man killed in a shooting on Saturday has been released, Boston police announced.

Jashun Cooley, 38, was found by police in the area of 159 Washington St. at around 9:58 p.m., the police department said in a statement on Monday.

Cooley was found with gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries before he was pronounced dead, police said.

The shooting continues to be under investigation by the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
