EASTHAMPTON — A group of protesters upset about Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in Gaza gathered outside a grocery store Sunday, calling on it into removing seven products produced in Israel.
The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement came to Western Massachusetts as between 60 and 80 members of the local campaign took their demands to the Easthampton branch of the River Valley Cooperative, a member-owned grocery, to push for action and to hold an educational demonstration on the grounds of the store.
