When Emily Oneschuk left the Navy in the spring of 2022 after more than four years of active duty, she was struggling with her mental health.
The Wakefield native was an explosive ordnance disposal and diving officer. She was also grieving her brother, who was shot and killed by his roommate right before she joined the Navy.
