Former Amherst guidance counselor Tania Cabrera claims in a federal lawsuit that district officials and employees retaliated against her for her religious beliefs and her association with two other school counselors.
The lawsuit is among several that have been filed by former and current employees of the Amherst Regional School District including one recently filed by former Assistant Superintendent Doreen Reyes, formerly known as Doreen Cunningham, and another by the former president of Amherst’s teachers’ union and middle school dean of students Lamicko Magee.
