Red Sox win: Brayan Bello dominates, Rafael Devers provides power vs. O’s

BALTIMORE — On a night when Brayan Bello was at his very best, Jarren Duran and Rafael Devers made sure the starter’s excellent outing wouldn’t go to waste.

Duran’s two-run, go-ahead single in the seventh and a mammoth two-run insurance blast from Devers powered the Red Sox to a 5-1 win over the first-place Orioles behind Bello, who took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning. One day after outslugging the O’s, the Sox held their offense to just four hits as Boston improved to 65-57 with its fourth win in six games. With the Royals also winning, the Red Sox remain 2½ games out of a wild card spot in the American League with 40 games to go.
