A provision of the state’s housing bond bill that Gov. Maura Healey signed into law Tuesday helps certain tenants by sealing eviction records. But for Rose Webster-Smith, director of Springfield No One Leaves, the provision “doesn’t go far enough.”
The provision only seals records of tenants who faced a no-fault eviction in housing court, where a tenant has won a case against a landlord or if a case has been dismissed.
But there’s a caveat.
