It’s Day 7 of the 2024 Paris Olympics and we’ve got some major events all around the games. The big highlight: The U.S. soccer team takes on Morocco in the quarterfinals. Team USA will be looking for its first trip to the Olympic semifinals since 2000.
Here’s where things currently stand with today’s Olympics schedule and medal count.
The United States continues to hold a strong lead in overall medals. But after falling back in golds, Team USA has gotten back in the fight. Only China (11) has more gold medals in this years Olympics than the U.S.
Events to watch Friday include Caeleb Dressel going for the gold in the men’s 50m freestyle swimming, Regan Smith in the women’s 200m backstroke and Carson Foster in the 200m medley.
