Olympics schedule, medal count for Wed., July 30 | Katie Ledecky goes for gold in dominant event

It’s Day 5 of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Team USA is still at the top of the overall medal count and looking for more as Katie Ledecky is in action in an event she has dominated.

Here’s where things currently stand with today’s Olympics schedule and medal count.

The United States still leads the way in the overall medal count, maintaining a lead over France. However. Team USA has fallen behind in terms of gold medals, currently ranking seventh behind Australia and South Korea.

Wednesday’s schedule features American swimming star Katie Ledecky goes for her eighth gold medal. She’ll be competing in the women’s 1500m, which is an event she has dominated.

Elsewhere in swimming, we’ve also got the men’s and women’s 100m freestyle finals.

It’s a big day in gymnastics as well as the men’s individual all-around final in Paris.
