WILBRAHAM – Behind a complete-game shutout from Cody West that featured six hits, two walks, and seven strikeouts, the Belchertown Post 239 legion baseball team defeated Wilbraham 2-0 in the Western Massachusetts American Legion semifinal round at Minnechaug High School on Tuesday night.
“It’s tough to play postseason baseball on consecutive days,” West said. “You must be mentally focused, but we have a great group of guys. And our coaches remind us that if we want to win and go to the state tournament, it will take hard work to get there.
