The New England Patriots are finally back in action — on the practice field at least — as training camp kicks off for the 2024 season.
Once again, the Patriots will be holding open practices that are free for fans to attend at the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. As per usual, there will be concessions and some additional entertainment away from the fields.
The first practice of 2024 training camp is set for Wednesday, July 24. This year, gates will open at 10 a.m. with practice set to start at 11 a.m.
Here’s everything fans need to know when attending practices at training camp this year:
Patriots training camp schedule: What days will there be practices? – This year (the first under head coach Jerod Mayo), the Patriots have released an extensive schedule of practice dates.
Here are the dates that we know will have public sessions that fans can attend. (Note: Practice dates and times are subject to change.)

What time does training camp open? – Practices are starting a little bit later this year. Gates open at 10 a.m., with practice starting at 11 a.m. Fan activities are scheduled to stay open for an hour after practice ends.
How does seating work? – There is open seating on bleachers alongside the practice fields. Seating in the bleachers comes on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Can fans get autographs? – Yes, autograph sessions are planned to take place after each practice. The players available for autographs typically vary by day.
What activities will there be? – In addition to the practice sessions themselves, the Patriots host a “fan experience” at Gillette Stadium on training camp days.
This includes photo opportunities, kids activities and merchandise sales. There will also be appearances Patriots mascots, cheerleaders and alumni.

Can fans bring bags? – Yes, bags are permitted and will not be subject to the “clear bag policy” that’s in place for gamedays. Bags are subject to inspection by security.
Is there food available? – There are multiple concessions stands at training camp. Note: all concessions are cashless.
Can fans bring their own food? – Yes, fans are allowed to bring in their own food and drinks.
Are bathrooms available? – Yes, there are restrooms on the north end of the Waste Innovations Field House and at the south entrance of Gillette Stadium.
What happens if it rains? – In the case of inclement weather, practices may be moved inside the fieldhouse, which is closed to the public.
What items are not allowed at training camp? – The Patriots have listed the following as prohibited items: Alcoholic beverages, beach balls, air horns, coolers, fireworks, flags over two feet in length, helium balloons, GoPro cameras, drugs, laser pointers, noise makers, drones, selfie sticks, video cameras and weapons of any kind.
How does parking work? – Parking around Gillette Stadium is free for training camp. However, tailgating is not permitted. Fans arriving from the north of Gillette Stadium should look for the P6 entrance along Route 1. Fans arriving from south of the stadium should head through P8. Are pets allowed? – Animals are not allowed at training camp, except for service animals assisting those with disabilities.
Do fans need tickets? – No, all training camp events are free. If there’s a practice scheduled for the field behind the stadium, fans can show up and enter.
