‘Unprecedented’ $81M investment will upgrade some Boston historical sites

A federal investment of $81 million will help modernize and upgrade some facilities at the Boston National Historical Park property in Charlestown, home of the USS Constitution, the world’s oldest commissioned warship.

The planned work includes a new visitor center at the Charlestown Navy Yard, where the Constitution is docked, according to an announcement released by the federal Department of the Interior last week.
