LOS ANGELES — In the next 10 days, the Red Sox have a lot on their plate.
They must decide to either buy or sell at the upcoming July 30 deadline, and they’ve got to get to the business of signing their recent draft picks. The former will likely determine whether the team snaps its playoff drought, and the latter will go a long way in determining the franchise’s future. There’s also a decision to be made on when to promote the organization’s three best prospects, currently idling in Portland and waiting to move up to Worcester.
