SPRINGFIELD — Governor Maura Healey has named a Springfield-based federal prosecutor of Indian descent as one of her picks to serve as a judge on the Massachusetts Superior Court.
Deepika Bains Shukla, 41, has headed the U.S. Attorney’s office in Springfield since 2019, the first woman of color and the first female to do so. She is also the youngest.
