Report: Longtime ‘Undisputed’ host leaving FS1

“Undisputed” will look a bit different later this summer after The New York Post reported that longtime host Skip Bayless will leave FS1 after eight years.

This marks the second time in as many summers the network will lose a big name. Last year, Shannon Sharpe left FS1 after he and the network reached a buyout agreement.

After Sharpe’s departure, though, “Undisputed” struggled bringing in audience numbers despite having a strong rotating cast. But without Bayless and Sharpe going back and forth with one another, the show didn’t have the same impact.

“‘Undisputed’ ratings numbers were also hurt on the margins as Craig Carton’s lead-in show has not yet reached the metrics that “First Things First” had in the early mornings before it got moved to mid-afternoon, following “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd,” The Post reported.

Even though Bayless will move on, “Undisputed” is still expected to continue, though it’s unclear who will take over as host and what the format will be.

A date for Bayless’ final show is unknown, but The Post reported it will be “later this summer.
