The Formula 1 British Grand Prix will be on Sunday, July 7 at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, UK.
The Birtish Grand Prix is scheduled to start at 9:55 a.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and ESPN+. Fans looking to watch can do so through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, both of which offer a free trial. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but does have other promotional offers available. The race takes place over 52 laps of the 5.891-kilometer Silverstone Circuit. The home crowd has three reasons to cheer as Mercedes driver George Russell narrowly beat teammate Lewis Hamilton to take pole position for the British Grand Prix, with Lando Norris third quickest for McLaren. It was all about the Brits at Silverstone as Formula 1 championship leader Max Verstappen took a rare back seat and qualified in fourth for Red Bull.
Russell aims for a second straight F1 win following his victory at the Austrian GP last weekend. Record eight-time British GP winner Hamilton missed out on a record-extending 105th F1 pole by .171 seconds. Norris was .211 seconds behind Russell, who secured his second pole of the season and third of his career.
Norris led the two practices on Friday with Verstappen finishing out of the top three both times. Norris has to get past two Mercedes and hold off Verstappen alongside him a week after Verstappen and Norris crashed into each other late in Austria.
