A campsite on the Cape offers tourists a retro way to vacation, featuring mid-center modern-inspired silver-bullet looking campers that provides a place to sleep in the woods with creature comforts, such as air conditioning and running water.
Hilton Head AutoCamp opened in Falmouth off Route 28 and Palmer Avenue near Woodneck Beach three years ago. Unlike most campsites, AutoCamp lets visitors stay in one of its 88 31-foot, aluminum alloy Airstream trailers.
