EAST LONGMEADOW — About 20,000 to 25,000 people came out to witness East Longmeadow’s annual Fourth of July parade in various levels of patriotic garb.
The 2.3-mile parade, according to Independence Day committee-member Carl Ohlin, featured about 100 marching organizations this year, including horse-mounted police officers, vintage fire trucks, even a float of Star Wars fans that featured a collection of Jedi knights, Sith lords and stormtroopers.
