What to know about parking, prohibited items at Levitate Music and Arts Festival

Levitate Music and Arts Festival will welcome about 30 artists, 60 vendors and between 15,000 and 20,000 music lovers to the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield this weekend.

The 11th annual festival will last from Friday, July 5 through Sunday, July 7, with headlining performances by Mt. Joy, Lake Street Drive and Sublime.

Festival gates open at 12:30 p.m. each day and the festival typically ends around 9:30 p.m. For those heading down to the South Shore for the festival, here are some things you should know.

Getting to the festival

The Levitate Music and Arts Festival is located at the Marshfield Fairgrounds located at 140 Main St. in Marshfield. Parking on the festival days is located at Furnace Brook Middle School, which is at 500 Furnace St.

It costs $20 to park, and the money benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. There will be a free shuttle running to and from the festival starting at 11:30 a.m. each day.

For those who paid for parking in advance, the entrance to the pre-paid parking lot is off of South River Street (across the street from the fire station). There are other pre-paid parking lots so people should look out for signs on where to go and have their pre-parking pass ready.

Taking an Uber, Lyft or getting dropped off at the festival is also encouraged. The main the entrance to the festival is located on Main Street. Once people get their festival wristband, they are welcome to come and go as they please. A map of the festival grounds can be found below:
