Can you still buy alcohol during the Fourth of July in Mass.?

Maybe you need a few more beers for your guests or some extra wine to top off your sangria, but will you be able to pop into your local liquor store to bring more spirits to your Fourth of July barbecue?

People from all over Massachusetts will be tossing one back in celebration of America’s birthday. Last year, U.S. residents spent roughly $4.02 billion on alcohol, according to 2024 data from Capitol One Research.

So if you need to make a last-minute liquor store run, then you’re in luck.

Massachusetts residents can buy alcohol from liquor stores on the Fourth of July, according to the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission Regulations.

Beer, wine and liquor can also be purchased at grocery stores that are open as well.

While there are no specific hour restrictions for the holiday, people should check their local liquor store’s hours.
