SPRINGFIELD — Shi Can Chen’s hot skin was still blistering as he raced out onto a street in a residential neighborhood on Sept. 30, 2019, flagging down an off-duty cop.
As he testified this week in Hampden Superior Court against three men he says broke into a house that served as an illegal marijuana grow operation, Chen broke down when he was asked to lift his shirt.
And to show his still-mottled skin to a jury.
