The Berkshire County District Attorney’s office identified a man who was shot and killed while sitting in his car on Tuesday night in Pittsfield as 38-year-old Ryan P. Babcock.
Police learned of a man with possible gunshot wounds on Fenn Street around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. When an officer arrived, they found an unresponsive man later identified as Babcock in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with “apparent” gunshot wounds, the district attorney’s office said in a statement.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on Babcock, of Pittsfield, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.
