CHICAGO — As if things weren’t bad enough for the Red Sox — both with their play of late and the litany of injuries that have struck them — things got even worse Saturday when third baseman Rafael Devers, limited by a troublesome left knee, came out of the game and will miss the final game of the brief road trip Sunday.
Still, both Devers and manager Alex Cora believe this to be a temporary setback and not anything that will cause Devers to miss an extended period of time. Devers missed time earlier in the year with the same knee condition.
