While Massachusetts may be known for its apples, peaches and cranberries, the Bay State is also a hidden haven for all things lavender.
From lavender ice cream and lavender lemonade to lavender honey beer and fresh bundles of flowers, The Farm at SummitWynds in Holden has a variety of lavender treats and drinks for lavender lovers.
For two weekends in June, The Farm at SummitWynds will showcase its lavender goods, kicking off its annual Lavender Farm Fest.
According to its official Facebook page, the 2024 Lavender Farm Fest will be held over two weekends, Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 23, and Friday, June 28, to Sunday, June 30.
Friday, June 21, is an adult-only event. No one younger than 18 will be allowed entrance to the farm.
The event description encourages guests to “enjoy a relaxing and tranquil experience in the lavender fields, overlooking the pastures and spectacular view of Mount Wachusett.” Attendees can also take photos in the sunflower fields.
The Farm at SummitWynds is home to 4,000 lavender plants, a variety of sunflowers and wildflowers, and award-winning show horses.
Attendees can explore the farm and its fields, listen to live music, take photos, visit a vintage camper Photo Booth, purchase craft beer or wine and shop for items made by local artisans.
The Farm at SummitWynds also hosts a yoga class in the lavender field for an additional cost of $25 per person.
According to its official website, tickets for the Lavender Farm Fest have sold out for the past four years, and tickets are only available for purchase online.

Tickets are $15.95 for general admission, which includes live music, wagon rides, nature trail walk, games and parking.
The Lavender Lover VIP package is $32 and includes everything general admission offers plus the option of picking your own bouquet of lavender or dried lavender, unlimited wagon rides, a lavender lemonade, $5 shop coupon, lavender farm notecards, a reusable produce bag and a souvenir cup.
Children younger than 2 are admitted for free.
