5 new stores, restaurants you’ll see when visiting Nantucket this summer

A chocolate shop. A restaurant. A women’s boutique. A luxury clothing store and a snack store.

These are five new businesses visitors can expect to see this summer on Nantucket, according to Leary Public Relations, an agency that represents NIR Retail. The new additions make 95 local businesses that encompass NIR Retail, a New England Development company, that leases business on some of the most popular streets on the island.

Another chocolate shop will open on the island, in addition to Aunt Leah’s Fudge. What would Cape Cod dining be without seafood? A new seafood restaurant will join the island’s thriving dining scene.

Hundred-dollar luxury brand items are coming to the island, adding to NIR retail’s long line of clothing stores which include: Salt, Native and Patina.

“[Nantucket’s] world-class shops, restaurants, hotels, exquisite art galleries and seaside beauty have made Nantucket one of the most popular resort destinations for vacationers from around the globe,” NIR Retail wrote on its website. “For many, the island’s events and celebrations are an annual must-see.”
