Hozier topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time this year, and the Irish singer brought his star power performed on the third and final day of Boston Calling Music Festival
The singer and songwriter, best known for his debut single “Take Me to Church,” played on the Red Stage at Boston Calling on on Sunday, May 26.
The “Too Sweet” singer had several moments when he interacted with fans including warming up their vocals and teasing one man in the crowd with a t-shirt cannon, saying “It’s like this man has torn a limb off Jack the Pumpkin King” and comparing it to “the world’s longest rainstick.”
Known for frequently taking political or social justice stances, Hozier also went into a short monologue that touched upon topics like LGBTQ+ rights, woman’s suffrage and world conflict.
