A shooting in Springfield left two people wounded, including a child who was seriously injured, police said.
When Springfield police arrived to the 100 block of Kenyon Street, not far from the Boys & Girls Club, at around 3:45 p.m. Friday they found two people had been shot, Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the department, wrote on X. Both people were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, according to Walsh.
One person, a man, had non-life-threatening injuries, Walsh said. Another person was seriously injured, according to police. Police did not release the person’s age, only stating they were under the age of 18.
