Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers and The Killers will headline Boston Calling this year, but they are not the only notable acts taking the stage at the three-day festival.
The headliners will be joined by more than 50 artists, including more than 20 acts from the Northeast.
To highlight these local artists, MassLive will publish profiles on the acts leading up to the festival’s May 24 start date.
The Wolff Sisters
Being on the same bill such artists as Leon Bridges and Tyler Childers is a huge honor for The Wolff Sisters, who will be playing Boston Calling for the first time on Friday, May 24. But being siblings who actually grew up in the area makes this opportunity feel “like a dream come true.”
“We feel honored to be a part of such a cool festival and lineup,” The Wolff Sisters told MassLive. “Being from Boston and growing up here, we’ve always dreamt of being a part of it.”
The Wolff Sisters are comprised of Rebecca, Kat, and Rachael Wolff. The sisters were raised on Bob Dylan, The Band, and Little Feat, which have all influenced their indie sound.
“The Wolff Sisters are a rag-tag group of hardworking individuals that bring a big sound and timeless songs,” the band’s website reads. “Their music is honest and genre-defying, but still rooted in traditional rock and Americana storytelling.”
As a Boston Music Award-winning group, The Wolff Sisters are ready to bring the band’s “electrifying live performance and unique sound” to the Boston Calling stage.
You can learn more about The Wolff Sisters by visiting the band’s website.
Boston Calling will take place Memorial Day Weekend from Friday, May 24, until Sunday, May 26, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston.
