Southwick Select Board member Doug Moglin says experience is key in town vote

SOUTHWICK — After serving 20 years in town government, first as a Planning Board member and then three terms on the Select Board, Doug Moglin believes his experience and ability to build consensus has earned him the opportunity to be reelected to a fourth term.

“We’re at a critical juncture,” Moglin said Thursday, referring to the significant personnel changes occurring in town government. Election Day in town is Tuesday, May 14.

He pointed to the institutional knowledge vacuum created when Chief Administrative Officer Karl Stinehart retired after 35 years, the newly appointed CAO Nicole Parker starting in the next few weeks, and the relative inexperience of fellow Select Board members Jason Perron and Diane Gale.
