Here’s where you can play giant 3D Tetris in Massachusetts

Nostalgic games and virtual reality come together under one roof at Immersive Gamebox in Natick.

Immersive Gamebox provides immersive fun by allowing guests to play games inside a gamebox, which is a large room covered wall-to-wall in 3D interactive screens.

The company has locations around the world, but only one in Massachusetts.

Players engage with their surroundings by wearing a virtual reality headset or by touching the walls for specific challenges.

Immersive Gamebox features more than a dozen games, including Tetris 1991, which is the latest addition to the roster.

The game starts when a tech genius hacks a handheld Tetris game that unleashes “a puzzling catastrophe where everything and everyone becomes a Tetrimino,” the game’s description reads.

Therefore, players help save the town by playing Tetris in several challenges, such as stacking blocks to create a bridge, fitting furniture inside a moving truck or making burgers.

The game lasts up to an hour and scores are given to players both individually and collectively.

Suitable for ages 5 and up, Tetris 1991 is available to play at Immersive Gamebox on the ground floor of the Natick Mall, located at 1245 Worcester St. on Route 9.

The space features six gameboxes, that fit up to six people each. Tickets start at $29.99 per person and reservations can be made online.

Tetris 1991 is not the only game offered at Immersive Gamebox. The entertainment space offers a dozen more games, from Angry Birds and Squid Game to Ghostbusters and Paw Patrol.

More information about Tetris 1991 and the rest of the Immersive Gamebox lineup can be found online.
