WESTFIELD — After a process that included a survey of the school community on desired characteristics of a principal and semi-finalist interviews by a team that included a broad range of stakeholders, Westfield school administrators have announced two finalists for principal of Paper Mill Elementary School, Mary K. Ritchie and Michael Atkins.

Mary K. Ritchie is currently the principal of Metcalf Middle School in Holyoke. Prior to this role, she was interim principal at Elmer J. McMahon Elementary School, an assistant principal for six years and an elementary classroom teacher for 16 years.
