SPRINGFIELD — Sue McDonald works for Greater Springfield Senior Services as a driver for its Meals on Wheels service. It’s a job she took eight years ago after retiring as an office manager and taking care of her own mother.
The program delivers lunch on weekdays to homebound residents 60 and older by drivers like McDonald, who are also trained to observe signs of distress.
