A man who was shot and killed inside a Brockton home early Sunday morning has been identified as 27-year-old Sederick Abreau, the Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz’s office confirmed to MassLive Monday.
Abreau was found shot in the chest inside 36 Hoover Ave. Sunday and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was declared dead, Cruz’s office said in a statement.
“Preliminarily, this does appear to be a random act of violence,” Cruz wrote in a brief message on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Cruz described the investigation as active and ongoing by Brockton police and State Police.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting as of Monday morning.
