On Wednesday at 3:24 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory valid from 11 a.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Berkshire County.
“West winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected,” says the weather service. “The strongest gusts will occur along with and just behind a strong cold frontal passage this evening.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Trees and tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” comments the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
