The Table Talk Pie store has officially settled into its new, permanent home in Worcester, not too far from where it used to be located.
The store has officially opened at the Worcester Public Market on Green Street in the canal district on Thursday, Feb. 24.
The store sells Table Talk’s signature baked pies in regular and snack-sized options as well as Table Talk merchandise.
Additionally, for the first time in the company’s 100-year history, the new store will offer crumb cakes in varieties including blueberry, cinnamon and New York style.
The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday. Tuesdays will also be Senior Day.
“As one of Worcester’s beloved food institutions, it only felt right to move the Table Talk Pie Store to the city’s newest and best food scene,” Isaac Long, president of Table Talk, said in a press release.
The original Table Talk Pie store closed its location at 153 Green Street in October 2022 and moved temporarily to 65 Green St. the month after.
The former building of the store was later sold to a new developer who made space for three additional stories for apartments.
Therefore, this permanent move to Worcester Public Market is a sort of homecoming to the store’s original location near legendary Kelley Square.
“Our home in the Public Market is the perfect place to celebrate our upcoming 100-year anniversary, and to serve new and long-time customers in such a vibrant and happening location,” Long added.
Table Talk Pies has been a family-owned business since 1924, with pies sold in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and more.
More than 300 of Table Talk’s full-time employees operated from three automated bakeries that are all located in Worcester as well.
