A little bit of Memphis has touched down in Massachusetts and guests won’t help but fall in love with the space inspired by Elvis Presley’s historic Jungle Room.
Memphis Tourism has brought their Love Me (Bar)Tender experience to Boston for just two nights, Oct. 10-11.
The immersive, experiential pop-up is a replica of the iconic Jungle Room at Elvis Presley’s Graceland, but with a modern twist.
The space, which is occupying the top floor of The Point at 147 Hanover St., features duplicates of the Room’s green shag carpet, stone wall, rock waterfall, funky furniture, animal-themed décor, tiki bar and more.
Guests can sip on Elvis- and Memphis-inspired cocktails, like “Memphis Soul Fashioned” and “Heartbreak Hotel Highball,” while being serenaded by the King of Rock ’n’ Roll himself.
The space also features plenty of photo opportunities, including a booth where guests can enter to win a trip to Memphis with a complimentary hotel and roundtrip airfare.
“We’re taking a slice of Americana and making it authentic and exciting to generations of travelers,” said Regena Bearden, chief marketing officer at Memphis Tourism. “After experiencing the Jungle Room and getting a taste of Memphis’ magic and vibe, we want that next step to be booking a trip to Memphis to experience the real thing.”
Elvis Presley’s Graceland is one of the country’s most visited homes, averaging about a half-million visitors annually, according to Memphis Tourism.
The Jungle Room is also where Elvis recorded songs like “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” and “Moody Blue,” which became part of a series known as The Jungle Room sessions.
The pop-up has already made two stops in New York City and will be on display in Chicago from Oct. 18-19. Tickets are free and can be found on Memphis Tourism’s website or on Eventbrite.
