Connecticut seeks input on Enfield train station that adds stop along Hartford Line

ENFIELD, Conn. — Connecticut wants the public to weigh in on its plans for a new train station in Enfield on the CTRail Hartford Line approximately nine miles south of Springfield’s Union Station.

The station, expected to cost $45.5 million and begin construction in the spring of 2025, depends on permitting and right-of-way acquisition. It would be part of the ongoing Bigelow Mills redevelopment district on the Connecticut River in the Thompsonville section of town, according to the town and the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
