A 73-year-old pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a vehicle in Falmouth on Sunday.
At about 6:30 p.m., a man was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Gifford Street and Dillingham Avenue, the Falmouth Police Department wrote on Facebook.
The driver involved remained on the scene and attempted to help save the man until first responders arrived, police said. The man was then taken to Falmouth Hospital, where he later died.
Officials did not release the man’s name as of Monday morning.
The incident remains under active investigation. Police expect to release further information as it becomes available.
