A 60-year-old Massachusetts man died in a house fire on Sunday.
At about 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, someone passing by 16 Evelyn St. in Burlington saw the house fire and called 911.
By the time crews arrived, there was a heavy fire coming from the roof of the home.
A Burlington Police officer entered the home, located an unconscious resident, later identified as Paul Spencer, and pulled him out of the house. Spencer was taken to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, where he later died.
The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
