
A man killed in a shooting in Dorchester last week was identified on Tuesday as a 49-year-old man, Boston Police said in a statement.
Leudis Mejia Sanchez, of Dorchester, was one of two people shot inside 5 Trent St. in Dorchester on Aug. 12, police said. Sanchez and another man were treated at the scene and taken to a hospital, where Sanchez was pronounced dead. The other man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to police.
Police have not publicly announced any arrests in connection with the shooting and the department’s homicide unit is “actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident,” according to the statement.
