SPRINGFIELD — A city man accused of smashing into multiple vehicles while leading police on a wild car chase into Agawam was arrested on 46 charges Thursday.
Three police officers were hurt during the chase but none received serious injuries, said Ryan Walsh, police spokesman.
Davey Quinones, 20, was apprehended after driving into a cruiser near the Route 57 rotary in Agawam. He is facing multiple charges including carrying a loaded, large-capacity firearm on a public way; carrying a firearm without a permit, second offense; five counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; five counts of assault to kill; 18 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a high-capacity feeding device, Walsh said.
